What a difference a few months makes!

What I didn't tell anyone about these pictures in Galveston, taken on January 4th, was that it was a very special day. It was my boyfriend Tullio's last day in Houston, so I took him to the Menil Collection, and then afterwards to one of my favorite places in Houston, the Rothko Chapel. If you just go in and look at it for a second, it doesn't seem that impressive. The panels by Rothko are very somber, not his usual more vivid colors... So I told Tullio we needed to sit in there for a while to get the real effect of the reflection of natural light on the walls, etc. After we'd sat there for a while, I asked him if he wanted to leave. He told me an adamant NO and proceeded to PROPOSE!

So the pictures taken in Galveston were in the reverie of the post-proposal. We were still on Cloud Nine! Amazing. I knew from last August that he was the man for me. I had never felt so right with someone, and so natural. Everything just FIT. I didn't need to explain a lot to him, he just knew.

While we were in Houston, he was able to get to know quite a few of my friends. Patrick Summers threw a party at his house, so luckily we were able to have him meet a bunch of people then.
