Engagement Party!

Tullio, after his shocking proposal (OK, I'd been hoping for quite a while!), came back to Texas for a big engagement party my parents threw for us later in the month at their house in Dallas. It was gorgeous. So many wonderful people came, and we were able to at least introduce him to so many important people in my life. Hopefully he'll get to see more of them!

He got to know my pastor from church growing up, Don Benton, who counseled us on how to make our marriage work and be joyful. This is something Tullio's priest could never do - - give us advice from EXPERIENCE! hee hee.

While in Houston, we threw an engagement party for my Cousin Sara, as well - - it's a season of weddings! Here are the "girls" at the Shower for Sara.

And my other cousin Cameron celebrated her birthday - what a joyous season!

Oh, yeah - and I sang Midsummer Night's Dream in the midst of all this! The cast was great. I had a train that was about 20 feet long! Four little boys carried it in four sections throughout the opera. You guessed it - my main preoccupation was "don't step on my train!" Try telling that to 4 eight-year-olds!
Here I am in costume with Tullio, backstage.
